The focus of Counterexample Poetics is on displaying poetry, paintings, digital artwork, and photography which reside within the interpretational realms of philosophical, experimental, esoteric, post-postmodern, difficult, absurd, avant-garde, and other subjective terms associated with artistry existing outside mainstream proclamations. Reviews of poetic works will also be accepted.


Poetry: 1 – 5 poems, in a single document; poems submitted in multiple documents will not be considered

Artwork/Photography: 1 – 5 pieces

Poetry Reviews: One review

Please Note: Only submit previously unpublished works, and no more than once per month.

Monetary compensation is not available, only a place to exhibit your artistry. Artists retain all rights to their work(s).

Simultaneous submissions are just fine; multiple submissions are not. Please withdraw your works when they are accepted elsewhere. If your work is accepted, please refrain from sending anything additional until your work is published. Response times will be under one week.
